WILL IT MAKE ME LOOK CHALKY?
Barely. Most mineral sunscreens go on white and heavy because they use larger zinc particles or high zinc concentrations without enough oil to blend them in. Ours uses non-nano zinc plus jojoba esters as a blending agent, so it spreads thin and disappears into your skin instead of sitting on top.
For darker skin tones, give it 30 seconds to settle and rub a second pass through. The white film disappears almost entirely.
IS MINERAL SPF 50 ACTUALLY STRONG ENOUGH? I'VE HEARD CHEMICAL WORKS BETTER.
Mineral SPF 50 blocks roughly 98% of UVB rays, the same as a chemical SPF 50. The difference isn't strength, it's mechanism. Mineral reflects; chemical absorbs and converts. The FDA has confirmed non-nano zinc oxide as 1 of only 2 sunscreen ingredients it considers safe. Most chemical filters are still under FDA review for absorption and endocrine effects.
